Veteran journalist Anmol Kaur to host ‘UK Now’ on GTC Punjabi UK
GTC Punjabi UK has announced the launch of ‘UK Now’, a new weekly programme dedicated to Britain’s Punjabi, Sikh and wider Indian community. H
Hosted by veteran journalist Anmol Kaur, the show launches in October on Sky Channel 770.
Designed to put community stories at the heart of the screen, ‘UK Now’ will combine community news, current affairs, cultural events and exclusive interviews. The programme aims to highlight the people, initiatives and achievements shaping the future of Britain’s South Asian diaspora.
Covering stories from across the UK, the show will look beyond national headlines to focus on local communities and everyday experiences. From cultural festivals in London and community projects in Birmingham to young entrepreneurs building new businesses, ‘UK Now’ will bring together stories that reflect the diversity and aspirations of British Punjabi and Indian families.
Each episode will also feature exclusive conversations with Punjabi and Bollywood singers, actors, directors, public figures and politicians. Guests will discuss their careers, upcoming projects and their connections with Britain’s South Asian community.

The programme will be fronted by Anmol Kaur, who brings 18 years of media experience and a deep understanding of the community to the role.
“Our community has so many stories that never reach the screen. ‘UK Now’ exists to tell them. Every week, we’ll bring viewers the people, the events and the conversations that matter to them,” said Kaur.
