Ranbir Kapoor, Yash & Sai Pallavi bring ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ to London

The cast and filmmakers behind ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ gathered in London for a promotional photocall ahead of the film’s UK theatrical release this week.

Actors Yash, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi were joined by producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari at the Corinthia Hotel in central London as part of the film’s international publicity campaign.

The event brought together the project’s leading figures against the backdrop of the London skyline, marking a key stop in the run-up to the film’s release in UK cinemas.

Inspired by the ancient Indian epic ‘Ramayana’, the film explores themes including courage, duty, sacrifice, love and the conflict between good and evil. The story remains one of the most significant works in Indian culture and has been passed down across generations through literature, performance and oral tradition.

The production features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The film also brings together a wider ensemble cast in a retelling of a story that continues to hold cultural significance for audiences in India and around the world.

Organisers said the London photocall highlighted the film’s connection with international audiences, including the British South Asian community, where the Ramayana continues to play an important role in cultural heritage and storytelling traditions.

With themes of family, faith, resilience and righteousness, the epic maintains relevance across different generations and communities. The film’s makers are positioning the project for a global audience as anticipation builds ahead of its cinema debut.

‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ is scheduled to be released in UK cinemas on 5th November 2026.
