Sunny Deol in talks with Rajkumar Santoshi for ‘Jaat’ sequel?

Sunny Deol is reportedly in discussions with acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi to helm the sequel to his mass entertainer ‘Jaat’, tentatively titled ‘Jaat 2’. If finalised, this would mark a reunion between the actor-director duo after more than two decades, following their celebrated collaborations in films such as ‘Ghayal’, ‘Damini’, and ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’.

The original ‘Jaat’, directed by Gopichand Malineni, surprised the industry with its box office success, grossing over Rs. 100 crore domestically. Known for its whistle-worthy action sequences, emotional family drama, and Sunny Deol’s signature screen presence, the film revived single-screen cinema appeal across India.

With Santoshi now in talks to take over the sequel, expectations are high for a more expansive and dramatic follow-up. Industry insiders suggest that the makers are aiming to elevate the scale and storytelling, building on the momentum of Deol’s recent hits like ‘Gadar 2’ and the upcoming ‘Border 2’.
