Sangat becomes latest UK Sikh broadcaster to air Golden Temple Gurbani
Sangat has become the latest UK‑based Sikh broadcaster to begin airing daily Shabad Gurbani from Sri Harmandir Sahib, joining a growing list of channels relaying the sacred feed.
The move follows recent developments in the sector, with PTC Punjabi, GTC Punjabi, Panjab Broadcasting Channel and Akaal Channel already transmitting Gurbani sourced from the Golden Temple’s digital platforms. Sangat’s entry brings the total number of UK broadcasters airing the coverage to five, marking a significant expansion in access for viewers across the country.
Sangat has positioned the telecast as a service for the wider Sikh community, offering morning and evening coverage in line with other broadcasters. The channel has not issued a detailed statement, but industry sources indicate that it is taking the feed directly from SGPC’s publicly available digital stream.
