Guru Randhawa drops ‘Fine Sh*t’ amid office‑set video backlash
Guru Randhawa’s latest release ‘Fine Sh*t’ has sparked controversy online, with the music video drawing criticism for its portrayal of women in a corporate setting. The track, released on 6 August, features Randhawa as a senior professional in an office environment, surrounded by female colleagues in stylised dance sequences. Viewers across social platforms have questioned the creative choice, calling the depiction inappropriate for a workplace and out of step with current conversations around professional conduct and representation.
The backlash gained momentum over the weekend, with users labelling the video “misguided” and “tone‑deaf”. Randhawa responded by downplaying the criticism, describing the title as casual slang and urging detractors to “calm down”. He later visited the Golden Temple, sharing a message about faith and resilience amid the online debate.
