Karan Johar locks Rameshwar Nath Kao biopic for August 2028

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has officially set an 11th August 2028 theatrical release for its film on Rameshwar Nath Kao, the founder of India’s external intelligence agency R&AW. The project is being developed in partnership with Leo Media Collective and is based on Nitin Gokhale’s book ‘Gentleman Spymaster’.
Announced on R&AW’s 58th foundation day, the espionage drama will trace the events leading to the agency’s formation and its first mission. The release has been positioned to coincide with R&AW’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
