First winner of ‘India Ke Top 1%’ walks away with Rs 94 lakh
Bijal Shah has made history by becoming the first-ever winner of Star Plus and JioHotstar’s ‘India Ke Top 1%’ hosted by Anil Kapoor, taking home Rs 94 lakh in the grand premiere.
Shah, who entered the competition alongside her husband Neelay Mehta, remained calm throughout the game and relied on her instincts to progress. Mehta continued to support her after his own journey on the show came to an end.
Reflecting on her victory, Shah said, “Winning Rs 94 lakh and becoming the show’s first-ever winner still feels unreal. I focused on one question at a time and trusted myself.”
She added, “This victory is incredibly special, and I truly feel that my father’s blessings and my son Pranit’s luck were with me throughout and of course not without my family’s support!”

Host Anil Kapoor praised Shah’s performance, saying she demonstrated that reaching the top of the competition required “presence of mind and street-smart thinking”. He added, “Bijal is our first-ever winner, and I am especially proud that this historic win belongs to a woman. She truly is India Ke Top 1%!”
