Salman Khan hits back at trolls over his age and appearance on ‘Bigg Boss 20’
Salman Khan addressed the trolling he has faced over his age, weight and appearance during Saturday’s episode of ‘Bigg Boss 20’ Weekend Ka Vaar.
The actor-host spoke about the growing culture of online trolling while discussing comments made about celebrities’ looks. Salman acknowledged that he has also been targeted, with social media users commenting that he has “grown old”.
“Of course, I’m 60 years old, yaar. You cannot be ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ all the time,” Salman said, referring to his appearance in his 1989 debut film.
He continued: “Log kehte hain woh buddha ho gaya hai… what do you want to troll? Mujhe pata hai mujhe kaun-kaun troll karta hai. Hum react nahi karte. Humare fan clubs itne saare hain, humko kya farak padta hai. Bolne do inko.”
Salman then directly challenged those commenting on his weight and physique. Referring to remarks that he had become fat, he said: “Bhai mota ho gaya hai… kar lo na troll, ye lo.”

He subsequently removed his hat, jacket and shirt on stage, using the moment to challenge the criticism of his appearance. He also told viewers: “Pehle apne aap ko dekho,” before questioning why people resort to mocking others over their bodies and appearance.
Salman also addressed comments targeting his brother Sohail Khan and actor Varun Sharma, drawing a distinction between genuine concern for someone’s health and mocking their appearance.
“Showing concern that bhai, you look unwell, you have lost weight is different. But mocking Sohail and Varun over their looks? That is wrong,” he said.
The discussion also extended to Salman’s bald appearance, which he clarified was linked to an upcoming project.
