Three top directors unite to watch Salman Khan’s ‘Maatrubhumi’ rough cut at private screening
Three prominent filmmakers – Subhash Ghai, Sooraj Barjatya and David Dhawan, recently came together to watch a rough cut of Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace’. The private screening, held in Mumbai, brought together several well‑known names from the industry.
Subhash Ghai shared a photograph from the gathering and noted how unusual it was to see so many directors in one room. He wrote that it was “beautiful to see my favourite directors together… to watch a rough cut of Apoorva Lakhia’s film,” confirming the screening and the presence of the three filmmakers.
The event also included Kabir Khan, Rumi Jafry, Riteish Deshmukh, Chitrangada Singh, Siddharth Roy Kapur and director Apoorva Lakhia, who has helmed the project. The film, featuring Salman Khan, has been generating interest ahead of its release, and the private viewing suggests that post‑production is now well under way.
