Box Office: Aditya Chopra’s ‘Alpha’ shifted again to make way for Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’
Aditya Chopra has opted to move Yash Raj Films’ upcoming release ‘Alpha’ away from its previously held 17th April slot, clearing the date after learning that Salman Khan is planning to release his action drama ‘Battle of Galwan’ on the same day.
‘Alpha’, led by Alia Bhatt and currently deep in post‑production, was initially positioned for an April arrival. However, with the film still requiring significant finishing work, the decision to vacate the date is both strategic and practical. It also avoids a direct box‑office clash with one of the year’s most high‑profile star vehicles.

The move is being viewed within the industry as a gesture of professional courtesy, reflecting the long‑standing rapport between YRF and Salman Khan. A new release date for ‘Alpha’ is expected to be announced once the film’s post‑production timeline is finalised.
