ZEE5 & SonyLIV amongst 15 streaming services a part of new streaming alliance, Beyond Mainstream
Indian streaming platforms ZEE5 and SonyLIV have joined a newly formed global coalition titled Beyond Mainstream, comprising 15 niche online services from around the world.
This marks the first collaborative effort of its kind, bringing together a diverse array of content providers including AMC Networks’ Acorn TV, Allblk, HiDive, Shudder, Sundance Now, Crunchyroll, NDM+, OutTV, Pure Flix, Rakuten Viki, The Roku Channel, Sony One, Tubi, alongside ZEE5 and SonyLIV.
The alliance aims to advocate for equitable and proportionate regulatory frameworks tailored to the unique nature of specialised streaming platforms. Its objective is to safeguard consumer choice and ensure continued access to a wide spectrum of global content.
