Kanshi TV found in breach of Ofcom rules over late licence fee payment
Kanshi TV has been found in breach of Ofcom’s broadcasting licence conditions after failing to pay its annual licence fee by the required deadline.
The regulator confirmed that Kanshi TV Ltd, which operates the channel, failed to pay its annual fee for the period commencing 1st April 2026 on time.
The broadcaster subsequently settled the outstanding fee after receiving Ofcom’s Preliminary View that it had breached its licence conditions. Despite the late payment being made, Ofcom ruled that Kanshi TV had breached Condition 4(2) of its Television Licensable Content Service (TLCS) licence.
Kanshi TV was one of five television licensees found in breach for late payment in the latest bulletin. The other broadcasters named were ANA HD, Fadak Media Broadcasts, Loveworld Television Network and Tuwa TV.
