Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films asserts exclusive rights to ‘Hera Pheri 3’ in a public notice

Akshay Kumar’s banner Cape of Good Films LLP has issued a formal public notice asserting its exclusive worldwide rights over ‘Hera Pheri 3’, signalling a decisive move to clarify ownership amid ongoing industry speculation. Published in the 4 July 2026 issue of Complete Cinema, the notice is directed at distributors, exhibitors, OTT platforms, broadcasters, advertisers, licensors, aggregators and all other commercial stakeholders.

The company states that it holds an “irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, and unencumbered licence” to produce, distribute, market and commercially exploit the film across all formats and platforms. The notice further warns that any party engaging with third‑party claimants without written authorisation from Cape of Good Films LLP does so “entirely at their own risk”, with the banner reserving full legal recourse.

This development arrives at a time when the franchise has faced uncertainty over creative direction and rights management. By issuing a public legal notice, Cape of Good Films LLP has moved to eliminate ambiguity and reinforce its position as the sole rights holder for the upcoming instalment of the long‑running comedy franchise.
