‘Bhooth Bangla’ on course to cross Rs. 50 crore in first weekend

Akshay Kumar’s latest horror‑comedy, ‘Bhooth Bangla’, is on track to surpass Rs. 50 crore nett in its opening weekend, following an impressive start at the Indian box office.

The film recorded a 60% rise in collections on its second day, bringing its two‑day total to Rs. 33 crore nett. Its performance so far is comparable to Kumar’s previous release, ‘Jolly LLB 3’, indicating strong audience interest.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ is performing particularly well in the Mumbai and Mysore circuits, with other regions reporting steady to encouraging business. The Mumbai circuit alone has contributed Rs. 11.50 crore nett over the first two days, with robust numbers coming from both Maharashtra and Gujarat.

With the weekend momentum firmly in place, the film appears well positioned for commercial success. A significant drop on Monday seems unlikely given the strong upward trend observed on Saturday.
