Sajid Nadiadwala to helm biopic of Lalit Modi
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is developing a feature film based on the life of Indian Premier League founder Lalit Modi, bringing one of the most influential and controversial figures in Indian sport and business to the big screen.
The project, being developed under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner, is expected to trace Modi’s journey from architect of the IPL to a central figure in one of the most debated chapters of Indian cricket administration. Writer and producer Sneha Rajani is also a part of the biopic.
A source told PinkVilla, “Lalit Modi’s life has so many different chapters that there is a lot to explore…idea is to tell the story on big screen while also getting into the man behind the headlines. Writing and development are currently being worked on, and the makers want to get the story right before taking it forward.”
