Ranbir Kapoor to stay away from social media to avoid negativity?

Ranbir Kapoor made a brief appearance on social media during the promotions of ‘Sanju’ last year, when he took over the Twitter handle of producers, Fox Star India.

Since then, rumours have been rife about whether or not Kapoor will be taking up social media full time. However, this now seems unlikely more than ever.

A source told The Asian Age, “Ranbir used the Foxstar handle for promoting Sanju, but he has stayed away from Twitter as he has not been comfortable with the negativity spread by the trolls. But then, there are some brands that are keen on stars endorsing them and tweet to their fans about them. But Ranbir is not someone who will do that. So, he did let go of a big offer from a brand because he was not keen to push a brand that way. Disha Patani may replace him as she likes being on the social medium with around 17 million followers on Instagram and 3 million on Twitter.”

Kapoor will next be seen in ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Shamshera’.
