Ranbir Kapoor says this could be his ‘last decade as an actor’, plans directorial debut
Ranbir Kapoor has suggested that the next decade could be his last playing the kind of roles he currently takes on, while revealing plans to move behind the camera as a filmmaker.
Speaking in a joint interview with BBC Asian Network alongside his ‘Ramayana’ co-star Sai Pallavi, Kapoor discussed his ambitions to become a director and his future in the film industry.
The actor said, “I guess, it’s my last decade as an actor; will I get to play these parts?”
His remark prompted a surprised reaction from Sai Pallavi. However, Kapoor clarified that he was referring to the opportunities to portray demanding roles rather than announcing his retirement from acting.
