‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’ shoot halted amid reports of Amitabh Bachchan’s health concerns

The shooting of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’ has reportedly been put on hold for around a week, amid reports of health concerns surrounding host Amitabh Bachchan.

According to reports, a source revealed that the veteran actor has not been keeping well, prompting the makers to temporarily suspend filming of new episodes.

The channel has reportedly been broadcasting previously recorded episodes featuring celebrity guests as part of its Diwali special programming.

The last major celebrity episode filmed featured Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey, who appeared on the show to promote their upcoming film ‘Ramayana’.

However, reports surrounding the reason for the production break have differed. A source close to the show told ‘The Indian Express’ that the pause was not related to Bachchan’s health but was due to his shooting schedule and availability.

Sony LIV has confirmed that new episodes of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’ will return from 16th November.

Bachchan, who recently turned 84, had previously revealed that he injured his knee after slipping during a ‘KBC 18’ shoot. He also disclosed in October that doctors had advised him to take a few days off to rest and recuperate.

The actor recently shared a blog update, describing his gradual return to routine and work.

Neither the makers nor Bachchan have officially confirmed that the latest production break is specifically related to his health.
