Amitabh Bachchan has moved to shut down speculation surrounding his health, issuing a clear denial after online rumours suggested he had undergone surgery or required intensive care. The actor said the claims were unfounded and stemmed from a misreading of a recent entry on his personal blog.
Bachchan clarified the situation in comments to Variety India, stating that he is “perfectly fine” and that the blog post was never intended as a personal medical update. He explained that he had used the example of a patient recovering after surgery as a metaphor for life’s setbacks, not as a reference to his own condition. The analogy, he said, was meant to illustrate resilience rather than hint at any health issue.
The misunderstanding prompted widespread concern among fans, leading Bachchan to reiterate that he had not been hospitalised and had not undergone any procedure. He later reinforced the message when asked directly about his wellbeing, responding that he was absolutely fine.
