Amitabh Bachchan reveals he worked a 24-hour shift for ‘KBC’
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that he recently completed a gruelling 24‑hour work shift for the upcoming season of his quiz reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, sharing the experience through his regular blog posts. The 83‑year‑old actor said the assignment was too important to be delayed, noting that missing the schedule would have meant “a job replacement” for him.
Bachchan explained that he worked continuously from 7 a.m. on day one to 7 a.m. the following day, emphasising the urgency of the task. He wrote, “Aaaahhhh… got hold of time in time… finished work at 7 am this morning… of work that began at 7 am yesterday… but the importance of its presentation and its timely work was necessary… so DID IT… (sic).”
After wrapping up the marathon shoot, the veteran actor said he was relieved to reconnect with his daily blogging routine. “But more the relief of having connected with the daily routine of the Blog and the Ef… I shall retire now, get some food in the belly… hit a pillow for a while for, tomorrow the 6th Aug is another early call…”
Bachchan also confirmed that the premiere date for the new season has now been announced, stressing that he could not afford to miss work. “The first Broadcast Date for KBC is announced… and missing that would mean a job replacement for me. So off to do what needs to be done.”

The show will premiere on Monday, 10th August at 9:00 PM exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV, followed by a weekday telecast from Monday to Friday. The new season is built on the theme ‘Sochna Padega’, centred on the insight that in an age of universally accessible knowledge, competitive advantage lies in the ability to interpret, connect and apply information.
‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ premieres on 10th August at 21:00 on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
