The makers have unveiled the announcement poster of ‘V. Shantaram’, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi in and as the legendary filmmaker. The striking first look sets the tone for a biographical drama that promises to honour one of Indian cinema’s greatest visionaries.
‘V. Shantaram’ was a pioneering director, producer and actor whose career spanned several decades. Known for classics such as ‘Dr. Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani’, ‘Do Aankhen Barah Haath’ and ‘Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje’, he combined social realism with artistic innovation, often using cinema as a medium to challenge conventions and highlight pressing social issues. Despite his immense contributions, his legacy has not always received the recognition it deserves.
