First poster of Vikram Bhatt’s ‘1920: Cold Winter’
Producer Anand Pandit and writer-director Vikram Bhatt will join hands once again for ‘1920: Cold Winter’, the latest instalment in the successful 1920 franchise. The announcement comes at a time when Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, the duo’s recent collaboration, continues its successful theatrical run.
With remarkable expertise in crafting horror films, including the ‘1920’ franchise, ‘Raaz’,’ Shaapit’, ‘Haunted – 3D’, ‘Raaz 3D’ and ‘Raaz Reboot’, Vikram Bhatt has been one of the key voices shaping the horror genre in Hindi cinema over the past two decades. Now, as he joins hands with Pandit, who has consistently backed novel concepts, the industry is keenly looking forward to the cast and other details of the duo’s upcoming venture.
Speaking about ‘1920: Cold Winter’, Vikram Bhatt says, “The response to our recent release has reaffirmed that audiences continue to enjoy well-crafted horror stories when they are backed by novel concepts and effective visual effects. With ‘1920: Cold Winter’, we want to build on the legacy of a franchise that has remained close to audiences for years while introducing a fresh and unsettling new chapter.”
Carrying the tagline, ‘Beware the innocent. They hide the darkest evil,’ the film promises the coldest nightmare yet in the 1920 universe, the producer hints.

It has continued to adapt to changing audience preferences without losing its core identity. Vikram has a deep understanding of the genre, and we are excited to bring this new story to the big screen in 3D with a scale and experience that horror fans will appreciate,” says Anand Pandit.

The franchise later expanded with the spin-off ‘1921’, directed by Bhatt in 2018.
