Farhan Akhtar has addressed the ongoing conversation around ‘Don 3’, offering his clearest remarks yet on the controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh’s exit from the project. Speaking during a recent industry interaction, Akhtar referenced actors backing out of films close to production, calling it “a pattern nowadays”, a comment widely interpreted as a nod to the ‘Don 3’ fallout.
While he avoided naming Ranveer directly, Akhtar acknowledged the disruption caused when a lead actor steps away late in the process, noting that filmmakers must “expect the unexpected” and be prepared for sudden changes. His remarks come months after reports of pre‑production delays and contractual disagreements that led to Ranveer’s departure from the franchise reboot.
