Samsung and Prime Video Partner with Vijay Varma to launch new phone
Vijay Varma features in a new campaign highlighting Prime Video’s streaming experience on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8. The collaboration between Samsung Electronics and Prime Video positions the foldable device as a platform optimised for on‑the‑go viewing, with the campaign using Varma to illustrate how long‑form content fits naturally into everyday downtime on a film set.
In the spot, Varma is shown moving between shooting breaks — from his vanity trailer to transit — where unfolding the Galaxy Z Fold8 allows him to catch up on Prime Video titles including ‘Farzi’, ‘The Family Man’, live sports and sci‑fi fare such as ‘Project Hail Mary’. The narrative plays on the contrast between the fast pace of a shoot and the pause offered by streaming, using the device’s larger interior display to emphasise immersion.
“The idea was to show how great stories can pull you in wherever you are,” Varma said during filming. “Unfolding the Galaxy Z Fold8 gives you a viewing space that feels bigger than a typical phone screen.”

The campaign also underlines the device’s flexible form factor, which offers a tablet‑style display that folds into a pocketable handset. Samsung and Prime Video are rolling out the creative across digital, TV and social platforms as part of the wider promotional push for the Galaxy Z Fold8.
