The fresh photographs, shared by the designer this week, offer the clearest view yet of the couture silhouette that dominated conversation during the festival’s opening days.
The newly released shots show Rai Bachchan posing along the Riviera in a sculptural white silk‑taffeta gown featuring a dramatic ruffled cape, a fitted strapless bodice and intricate pearl embroidery across the skirt. Tony Ward confirmed that the piece required over 600 hours of atelier work and nearly 40 metres of silk taffeta, positioning it among the label’s most labour‑intensive red‑carpet builds.
