Abhishek Bachchan opens up about how daughter Aaradhya is impacted by divorce rumours
Married for over 18 years, actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan remain one of Bollywood’s most admired couples. Together they share a daughter, Aaradhya, who has grown up in the public eye. While the family is often the subject of unfounded divorce rumours online, Abhishek has spoken candidly about how such speculation does not affect their daughter.
In a recent interview with PeepingMoon, the actor explained, “I don’t think Aaradhya does that. I don’t think that is what interests her, and she won’t believe anything she reads. Her mother has taught her not to believe everything she sees online. Like my parents were with me, we are completely honest within the family, so there is never a situation where anyone needs to question anybody.”
Abhishek also revealed that Aaradhya, now 14 years old, does not own a mobile phone. “She doesn’t have a phone. If her friends want to contact her, they call her mother’s phone. That was a decision we made long ago,” he said.

Highlighting Aishwarya’s influence, Abhishek praised his wife’s approach to parenting: “Aishwarya has instilled in Aaradhya a deep respect for the film industry and for what we do. She has taught her that we are who we are because of the films and the audiences who have given us this life.”
He concluded by describing Aaradhya as a confident teenager with a strong sense of self: “She has an opinion. She is very sure of herself. She has distinct views which we discuss privately, but she has a wonderful way of expressing them.”
