ZEE Cine Awards 2016 to air in March

ZEE Network has confirmed details for this year’s ZEE Cine Awards, which take place in Mumbai this month and air across ZEE channels around the world on Saturday 5th March.

The event will be hosted by filmmaker, Karan Johar and actor Shahid Kapoor, who recently worked together in ‘Shaandaar’.

This year’s star-studded event will see the introduction of regional film categories including Marathi, Bangla, Telegu. The network has introduced Jury Awards in this edition that will be decided by the panel consisting of eminent names from the industry like Rakesh Roshan, Resul Pookutty, Anurag Basu, Leena Yadav and Shantanu Moitra.

I personally do not support usage of vulgar or explicit language on stage. I have never done it before and I always try not to do it. I feel one should be sensitive towards others. Some easily feel bad, others are able to take the joke,” Shahid said at the ZEE Cine Awards press conference today.

Kapoor will also perform on stage, along with Anil Kapoor, who will be performing a solo act after a long time, Sonakshi Sinha and Kriti Sanon.

ZEE Cine Awards 2016 will be held in Mumbai on 20th February, with telecast on ZEE Network channels on 5th March 2016 at 19:00 (including UK).
