ZEE Network’s hybrid entertainment channel, ZEE Cafe, will be broadcasting two cricket tournaments in August, BizAsia.co.uk can confirm.
The first will be Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh, which consists of five One Day Internationals and one Test Series. It kicks off on Thursday 4th August, live from Harare Sports Club, Harare.
The second will be Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka, starting on Saturday 6th August. This series features five One Day International, three Tests and two Twenty20 games.
Both series will beam footage from its sister station Ten Sports, with English commentary.
Looking at the preliminary schedule, some matches between the two tournaments may clash due to time zones. ZEE Network UK will confirm shortly how it plans to avert the clash.
ZEE Cafe has been without cricket for the past couple of months since the conclusion of the ICC World Cup. The coverage proved immensely popular despite the use of Hindi commentary.
