Tusshar Kapoor receives Rs 5 crore extortion threat allegedly linked to Bishnoi gang
Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor has reportedly received an extortion threat demanding Rs 5 crore from a caller claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
According to reports, the caller identified himself as Harry Boxer, an alleged member of the gang, and demanded the money from the actor.
Tusshar, son of veteran actor Jeetendra, alerted Mumbai Police following the threat, with the matter subsequently being handed over to the Anti-Extortion Cell and Crime Branch for investigation.
However, a preliminary investigation has raised doubts over the caller’s identity. The Crime Branch’s technical team examined an audio recording of the threat and compared the voice with official samples of Harry Boxer held in its database.
The initial analysis reportedly found no match, prompting police to suspect that an unidentified individual may have used the gang’s name to intimidate the actor and demand money.
