Times Group splits between brothers Samir Jain & Vineet Jain

The Times Group is set to undergo its biggest change yet after a long-standing dispute between brothers Samir Jain and Vineet Jain finally reached a resolution.

According to reports, Samir will assume control over the print business segment, including digital assets aligned with print operations. Meanwhile, Vineet Jain, will helm broadcast, radio, and entertainment divisions, along with their associated digital assets. The latter is also expected to receive a large cash settlement due to the size and prominence of the company’s print business, which includes Times of India.

The Times Group boasts ownership of the largest publishing company in India and South Asia, Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited (BCCL).

Industrialist Harsh Goenka tweeted the news on social media, “Delighted that the Times of India group matter has been successfully settled. Samir Jain now presides over the print business, while Vineet leads the digital, television, and entertainment ventures. All’s well that ends well!”
