Official trailer of ‘Awarapan 2’ unveiled
Vishesh Films has released the trailer for ‘Awarapan 2’, offering a restrained, atmospheric first look at the sequel. The footage revisits Shivam Pandit nearly two decades after audiences last saw him, presenting a character shaped by age, experience and the unresolved weight of his past. The tone is sombre and grounded, with the trailer leaning into mood rather than spectacle.
Emraan Hashmi returns as Shivam, playing him with a quieter intensity that reflects the years gone by. Disha Patani features as Zara, introduced with a measured emotional presence, while Shabana Azmi’s appearance as Nafisa adds further dramatic weight. The supporting cast — Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar — is positioned as integral to the film’s narrative rather than as headline‑driven additions.
The music, a defining element of the original film, is again central to the sequel’s identity. Tracks from Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad, with lyrics by Sayeed Qadri, Rashmi Virag, Akhil Sachdeva and Sachin Singh Chandel, set a reflective tone. ‘Tera Mera Rishta’, composed by Mithoon and sung by Saaj Bhatt and Subodhh Sharma, threads through the trailer with understated effect.
