Lyca Radio announces launch in Bradford, Huddersfield & Leeds

Lyca Radio Network has announced its expansion into Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds, just days after confirming its full-scale launch across Birmingham.

Later this month, Lyca Radio will become available across West Yorkshire for the first time, marking a significant step in the network’s growth across Northern England. The move follows the acquisition of Asian Sound Radio in 2023, which was rebranded as Lyca Radio Greater Manchester in April 2024. The service will now extend into West Yorkshire as part of the continued expansion of the Lyca Radio brand.

Lyca Radio Greater Manchester currently broadcasts across the North West on 1377 AM and 963 AM, as well as on DAB digital radio throughout Greater Manchester.

Beyond the North West, Lyca Radio is one of the UK’s leading Asian radio brands, serving listeners across Greater London and the Midlands, including Birmingham, Leicestershire, Coventry, Derbyshire, Wolverhampton and Shropshire.

Raj Baddhan, Chief Executive Officer of Lyca Radio Network, said, “The launch of Lyca Radio in Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds represents an important milestone in our growth strategy. Following the success of our Greater Manchester service, we have seen strong demand from listeners across West Yorkshire for a dedicated Lyca Radio presence. This expansion enables us to extend our award-winning programming to a wider audience and further strengthen our footprint across Northern England.”

Lyca Radio will launch on full-scale DAB across Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds later this month.
