Kavita Krishnamurti is set to return to London with a landmark Diwali concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 1st November, presented by Sanatan Events. Speaking to BizAsiaLive.com’s Raj Baddhan, the legendary singer said London remains one of her “most loved cities”, recalling her favourite spots across the capital and the warmth she feels from audiences here. She described the Royal Albert Hall as a venue that “brings out a different energy” in her performances.
Krishnamurti confirmed the evening will blend her popular film classics with devotional pieces curated specially for Diwali, adding that the festive atmosphere allows her to explore songs that connect deeply with audiences. She spoke about the joy of performing tracks that have stayed with fans for decades, while also revisiting spiritual compositions that suit the occasion.
In the conversation, Krishnamurti reflected on the current direction of music, noting the rapid shifts in production and listening habits. She acknowledged the rise of AI in music, saying technology can be useful but should never replace “the human soul in a voice”, emphasising that emotion and lived experience remain central to performance.
