Karan Johar confirms final season of ‘Koffee With Karan’; Season 9 premieres on JioHotstar in October
‘Koffee With Karan’ is set to return for its ninth season, with host and creator Karan Johar confirming that the upcoming edition will mark the end of the long-running celebrity chat format. The new season will premiere on JioHotstar on 14th October 2026.
The announcement brings the curtain down on a franchise that first launched in 2004 and has become one of Indian entertainment’s most recognisable non-fiction properties. Across eight seasons and more than two decades, the show has served as a key platform for celebrity interviews, film promotions and industry conversations.
Confirming the final season, Karan Johar said: “There are some journeys you don’t plan to end, you simply know, somewhere deep within you, when it is time to let them go. ‘Koffee With Karan’ has been an extraordinary part of my life. It has given me friendships, memories, moments of complete madness, a lot of love and, yes, its fair share of controversy.”
