HBO Max launches in India through exclusive JioHotstar partnership
JioHotstar and Warner Bros. Discovery have expanded their partnership to bring HBO Max to India, making the streaming service available exclusively on JioHotstar.
The HBO Max hub launches today on the platform, offering content from HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios in a single destination for Indian subscribers.
The companies said the move creates a unified space for premium international programming, giving viewers access to a broad catalogue of global series and films.
Kevin Vaz, CEO – Entertainment at JioStar, described the launch as a significant step for the Indian streaming market.

By bringing HBO Max to JioHotstar, we are creating a unified destination for premium international content and raising the bar for quality content once again. We are combining scale, curation, quality and ease of access. This unlocks a deeper and more immersive entertainment experience for audiences nationwide.”

The HBO Max hub includes new and upcoming titles such as season three of ‘Euphoria’, the next installment of ‘House of the Dragon’, DC Studios’ ‘Lanterns’, and the first season of the upcoming HBO Original ‘Harry Potter’ and the ‘Philosopher’s Stone’ series, expected in 2026. Current offerings include ‘The Last of Us’, ‘Succession’, ‘The White Lotus’, ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Dune: Prophecy’, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, ‘Sex and the City’, and ‘The Pitt’.
As part of the renewed partnership, JioHotstar subscribers will also gain access to Warner Bros.
