Janhvi Kapoor reveals she gained 6kg during fallout with Karan Johar
Janhvi Kapoor has revealed that she gained six kilograms during her fallout with filmmaker Karan Johar.
Appearing alongside Varun Dhawan on ‘Koffee With Karan 9’, Kapoor opened up about the period when she and Johar were not speaking following a disagreement in 2023.
Recalling the experience, she said, “I gained weight when we stopped talking. I became six kilos heavier. I started losing weight after I solved the fight.”
The disagreement reportedly stemmed from a release-date clash involving Dhawan and Kapoor’s ‘Bawaal’ and Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

Dhawan also admitted to calling Johar a “child” during the fallout, while the filmmaker described their eventual reconciliation as an emotional moment.
