Deepika Padukone returns to Mumbai after completing overseas schedule of ‘King’ with SRK

Deepika Padukone has returned to Mumbai after completing the overseas filming schedule for ‘King’, the forthcoming action thriller in which she stars alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The actor was photographed at the airport on her arrival, marking the end of a key international phase of production.

Padukone, who is expecting her second child, appeared in a relaxed blue co‑ord set paired with bright trainers, briefly acknowledging photographers before leaving the terminal. Her understated appearance quickly drew attention online, with fans noting her composed demeanour.

The overseas schedule, shot primarily in South Africa, has attracted considerable interest in recent weeks after clips from the set circulated on social media, appearing to show Padukone and Khan filming a major sequence. The production team had previously urged the public to avoid sharing unauthorised material from the shoot.

Padukone had travelled abroad for the schedule in April, accompanied by her husband, Ranveer Singh. Her return signals the completion of one of the film’s most substantial filming blocks. ‘King’, which also features Suhana Khan in a prominent role, is slated for a Christmas 2026 release.
