Akshay Kumar & Deepika Padukone to reunite for ‘Housefull 5’?

After the stupendous success of ‘Housefull 4’, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the fifth installment of the comedy franchise.

‘Housefull 4’, which has garnered Rs. 230.02 crore in India, collected another Rs. 47.46 crore overseas. The total business of the film up until now stands at Rs. 277.48 crore – making it the sixth highest grossing Bollywood film of this year so far.

Rumours are rife that ‘Housefull 5’ will be the biggest out of the entire franchise, with Akshay Kumar being paired opposite Deepika Padukone, as he did in the original in 2010. There’s also talk of Jacqueline Fernandez reprising her role for the fifth film.

A source told a leading paper, “The basic premise of all the Housefull films results from confusion between three couples. For part five, Sajid wants to throw five couples into the mix to amp up the fun by five times.”

It added, “Since the film demands a huge ensemble, it is essential to get coordinated bulk dates from all the actors. There will be clarity on the shoot schedule and the release date only when the script is locked.”
