World Media Connect, the UK‑based distribution agency, has entered liquidation. While the circumstances leading to its collapse have not been disclosed, it is understood that liquidators were appointed last month.
The company has been a significant presence in the UK broadcast distribution sector, acting as the local representative for several major South Asian television channels. Its portfolio has previously included PTC Punjabi, Republic Bharat and 9XM, making it one of the more prominent agencies serving the South Asian television market in Britain.
World Media Connect ended its association with PTC Punjabi late last year, a development that preceded the company’s current financial situation.
