Trailer of Sunny Deol & Akshaye Khanna’s ‘Ikka’ on Netflix

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for ‘Ikka’, offering a detailed first look at a courtroom drama built around questions of justice, family and personal conviction. Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by Alchemy Films, the film brings together Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Tillotama Shome and Dia Mirza in a narrative shaped by moral conflict and the consequences of difficult choices.
At the centre of the story is Arjun Mehra, played by Sunny Deol, a lawyer known for his principles and his belief in fighting for what is right. In the trailer, he states: “Hum court mein jeetne ke liye nahi, haq ke liye ladte hai,” a line that reflects his approach to the law and the values he upholds. His resolve is tested when he is appointed to defend Shauryamann Gaur, portrayed by Akshaye Khanna, in a high‑profile attempted murder case. What begins as a legal challenge soon becomes a personal reckoning, forcing Arjun to confront the impact of the case on his relationships and the life he has built.
The trailer also introduces the figures surrounding the case. Tillotama Shome appears as Madhura Banerjee, a public prosecutor whose commitment to justice places her directly opposite one of the country’s most respected defence lawyers. Dia Mirza plays Avantika, Arjun’s wife, who attempts to protect her family as the repercussions of the case intensify. The footage highlights tense courtroom exchanges, emotional confrontations and shifting loyalties, suggesting a drama in which every character must navigate the weight of their decisions.
Reflecting on the film, Sunny Deol said: “‘Ikka’ is not just a courtroom drama. It is a story about family, relationships, and the difficult choices life forces you to make. Arjun is a man who believes in doing what is right, but circumstances push him to question everything around him.” He added that the project marks his first direct‑to‑streaming release and expressed his enthusiasm that audiences worldwide will be able to watch the film on Netflix.
Dia Mirza described Avantika as a source of stability and resilience, noting: “What makes ‘Ikka’ special is that beneath the courtroom drama lies a deeply human story about family, love and difficult choices.”
