Overnights: Utsav Plus strikes gold on Friday in UK with ratings surge

Star Plus’ newly morphed brand, Utsav Plus, got off to a huge start in UK ratings on Friday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

On Friday, the Star Network channels in UK were branded with an ‘Utsav’ prefix, dropping the ‘Star’ from its identity. Utsav Plus annihilated competition with a whopping share of 0.19%. ‘Anupamaa’ continued to perform strongly with 130,400 viewers, followed by ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ at 23:30 with 61,400 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ at 19:30 with 59,000 viewers, ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein’ at 21:00 with 51,300 viewers. The repeat of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ at midnight did well too with 36,700 viewers.

Colors also did well with a share of 0.15%. ‘Bigg Boss 14’ scored highly with 86,400 viewers, followed by ‘Molkki’ at 20:30 with 60,800 viewers and ‘Pinjara’ at 21:00 with 48,700 viewers.

Sony TV was placed at No.3 with a share of 0.12%. The final episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ was watched by 61,200 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Indiawaali Ma’ at 20:30 with 36,300 viewers.

BritAsia TV delivered an impressive share of 0.09%, while ZEE TV stayed low with a share 0.01%.
