Official poster of ‘The India Story’ starring Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade unveiled

The makers of ‘The India Story’ have unveiled the film’s first official poster, offering a striking introduction to the hard‑hitting drama ahead of its July 2026 release.

Presented by Zee Studios in association with MIG Production & Studios, the poster reveals Kajal Aggarwal as a determined lawyer and Shreyas Talpade as a distressed father, while a young girl portraying Talpade’s daughter underscores the human cost at the centre of the narrative. Set against the backdrop of the Bombay High Court, with a pesticide cylinder placed inside a witness box, the imagery hints at an intense courtroom battle over the alarming issue of food adulteration.

Directed by Chettan DK and written and produced by Sagar B. Shinde, ‘The India Story’ will release in cinemas on 24 July 2026 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, with Zee Studios handling the worldwide rollout.

Speaking about the film as the poster was launched, director Chettan DK said: “‘The India Story’ is the story of every Indian whose family or loved ones have been affected by food adulteration. It highlights one of the most neglected yet serious problems in our society—something that impacts each one of us in our daily lives.” He added: “Through this film, we wanted to bring this hidden reality to the forefront and spark an important conversation. I am confident that the film’s powerful message will be an eye‑opener for everyone.”

The film aims to spotlight one of India’s most pressing yet often overlooked public‑health concerns, using a tense and emotional narrative to expose the dangers hidden within everyday food consumption.

Backed by co‑producers Swati Vinayak Saindane, Anita Jadhav, Vinayak Saidani, Kalpesh Shah, Devyani Khorate and Prem Joshi, the project also features work from DOP Nishant Bhagwat, music composer Mangesh Dhakde, editor Ashish Mhatre, lyricist Shakeel Azami and sound designer Anmol Bhave.
