ZEE TV’s new supernatural thriller ‘Brahmarakshas’ has opened up well in latest India ratings but was not enough to lift the channel’s overall viewership, according to official data from BARC India for Week 32 of 2016.

Star Plus remained India’s top choice (Urban market) with 475.066 million Impressions (last week 453.650 million Impressions), followed by Colors with 403.412 million Impressions (last week 375.898 million Impressions) and ZEE TV in third with 333.529 million Impressions (last week 334.426 million Impressions). In fourth place was SAB TV with 283.193 million Impressions (last week 251.009 million Impressions) and Life Ok slipped to fifth with 272.235 million Impressions (last week 274.650 million Impressions).

The next tier consisted of Sony Entertainment Television at No.6 with 255.451 million Impressions, followed by &TV with 158.318 million Impressions, Star Utsav with 137.591 million Impressions, ZEE Anmol with 120.560 million Impressions and Sony Pal with 94.924 million Impressions.

The top rated shows in the Urban market was ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 7.436 million Impressions (last week 8.581 million Impressions), followed by ZEE TV’s new show ‘Brahmarakshas’ with 6.980 million Impressions and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony TV with 6.288 million Impressions.

Star Utsav was the leader in the Rural market with 461.095 million Impressions (last week 406.447 million), followed by ZEE Anmol with 369.868 million Impressions (last week 386.582 million Impressions) and Sony Pal with 300.109 million Impressions (last week 292.452 million Impressions). In fourth was ZEE TV with 253.205 million Impressions and Star Plus with 216.470 million Impressions.

The top rated shows in the Rural market was ‘Saathiya’ on Star Utsav with took lead with 6.489 million Impressions (last week 4.567 million Impressions), followed by ‘Jodha Akbar’ on ZEE Anmol with 5.505 million Impressions and ‘Piya Rangrezz’ on ZEE Anmol with 5.377 million Impressions.
