Akshay Kumar denies being a part of Karan Johar’s next with Rana Daggubati
Akshay Kumar’s team has firmly dismissed reports linking him to Karan Johar’s upcoming film with Rana Daggubati. Speculation surrounding the project intensified earlier this week, with several outlets claiming that the actors were set to collaborate on a large‑scale production directed by Chandoo Mondeti, known for his work on ‘Karthikeya’ and ‘Thandel’.
However, the excitement proved premature. A senior representative for Akshay Kumar categorically denied the rumours, stating that the reports were entirely unfounded. Speaking exclusively to PinkVilla, the representative said: “It’s not true. It’s fake.”
The supposed collaboration had generated considerable online chatter, particularly given the scale and genre Mondeti is known for. Yet, with no confirmation from Dharma Productions, Rana Daggubati or Akshay Kumar himself, the story has now been put to rest.
