Varun Dhawan’s ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ to release a week later in June 2026

The release of ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, starring Varun Dhawan, has been postponed by a week following changes to the release schedule of the upcoming pan-Indian film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’.

Directed by David Dhawan, the romantic comedy was originally set to arrive in cinemas on 5th June 2026, but will now be released on 12th June 2026. The decision was taken after ‘Toxic’, starring Yash, moved its release from March 2026 to 4th June 2026, creating a potential box-office clash during the same opening weekend.

With the shift, the makers of ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ have opted to give both films separate theatrical windows rather than compete directly at the box office.

The film also stars Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, and marks another collaboration between Varun Dhawan and his father David Dhawan, known for delivering several successful comedy entertainers together.
