Utsav TV brand to be replaced with Star prefix from this date in UK
As revealed by BizAsiaLive.com, JioStar will replace the Utsav brand in the UK, restoring the channels to their original identities.
From Thursday 13 August, Utsav Plus, Utsav Gold and Utsav Bharat will revert to Star Plus, Star Gold and Star Bharat respectively. This marks the first time since 2021 that the Star branding returns to the UK market, aligning the portfolio with its global positioning.
The Utsav identity was introduced in January 2021 under Disney ownership, following its acquisition of the Indian business from 21st Century Fox. The change was designed to avoid confusion with Disney’s US general‑entertainment service Star.
