Unconventional ‘Ishaqzaade’ ending causes stir

This weekend’s much awaited Yash Raj Films’ ‘Ishaqzaade’ has caused quite a stir in the film fraternity after its unconventional ending was revealed.

The film, which marks the debut of Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra has left many cinemagoers stunned at its irrevocably dark ending.

As known by Yash Raj Films’ track record, the production house specialises in happy endings but this time it has gone for an alternative offering.

According to a source who spoke to Bollywood Hungama, “Even when a film like Daag or Lamhe had the potential of ending tragically, Yashji swerved the plot at the penultimate moment away from darkness into the light. He loves to send the audience packing on a positive note.”

‘Ishaqzaade’ is now showing at cinemas (excluding UK).
