UK TV Reach: Prime TV continues to break records

UK based Pakistani entertainment channel, Prime TV continues to break records in terms of weekly reach owing to the success of the on-going Pakistan Super League.

According to official weekly reach data for Sunday 14th February, Prime TV delivered its biggest audience with 457,000 viewers tuning in the week – up from 400,000 viewers last week. It remains to be seen how much the channel will sustain its viewership post the cricket tournament.

Star Plus was back above the 1 million mark with a weekly reach of 1,075,000 (last week 950,000 viewers), followed by &TV with 728,000 viewers (last week 594,000 viewers), UMP Movies in third with 719,000 viewers (last week 737,000 viewers). Star Gold was in fourth with 675,000 viewers (last week 608,000 viewers) and Zing was in fifth with 648,000 viewers (last week 576,000 viewers).

The next tier consisted of Rishtey with 570,000 viewers, SAB TV with 551,000 viewers, Colors with 536,000 viewers, Hum TV with 522,000 viewers, Prime TV with 457,000 viewers and Life Ok with 376,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of PTC Punjabi with 311,000 viewers, Geo TV with 252,000 viewers, PTV Global with 184,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 155,000 viewers, Venus TV and Akaal Channel with 153,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 126,000 viewers, TV 99 with 99,000 viewers and DM Global with zero.

ARY News dominated the South Asian news genre in the UK with 422,000 viewers (last week 428,000 viewers), followed by Geo News with 326,000 viewers and Geo Tez with 269,000 viewers. Indian news channel, ABP News was in fourth place with 201,000 viewers. Dunya TV was next with 182,000 viewers and SAMAA TV registered 179,000 viewers. NDTV 24×7 delivered 164,000 viewers, followed by Aak Tak with 132,000 viewers and News18 India with 32,000 viewers.
