UK TV Ratings: Star Gold takes top spot in film genre on Saturday
Star Gold beat rival Bollywood film channels in UK Asian TV ratings on Saturday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
Star Gold delivered a share of 0.07%, ahead of Sony MAX with 0.02% and ZEE Cinema with 0.01%. Sister channel, Colors Cineplex rated zero.
Star Gold’s huge premiere ‘Dhurandhar: Part One’ averaged with around 7,000 viewers at 21:00. The film will be repeating tonight at 21:00, so it will be interesting to see how the second outing performs. While, the numbers are smaller than expected, the film proved a huge success at cinemas and has also a wide release on OTT with streaming on both JioHotstar and Netflix.

‘Dhurandhar’ premieres on Netflix
Star Plus remained the No.1 Hindi channel with 0.16% share. Its top shows were ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ with 32,000 viewers and ‘Oh Humnavaa Tum Dena Saath Mera’ and ‘Anupamaa’ clocked up 28,000 viewers.
Sony TV and Colors rated with a share of 0.02%.
