Tina Daheley confirmed to leave BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show after seven years

Tina Daheley has confirmed she is stepping down as the newsreader on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show after more than seven years on the programme. Announcing the move on social media, Daheley said she would “no longer be needing the early alarm calls,” signalling the end of her run on the early‑morning slot.

Daheley, who joined the Breakfast Show during the Chris Evans era and continued under Zoe Ball, will remain part of BBC Radio 2. She will continue to present the lunchtime programme when Jeremy Vine is away and will also appear on BBC One later in the year.

Her departure from the Breakfast Show comes ahead of wider schedule changes at the station, with a new presenting line‑up expected to take shape over the summer.
